I consider myself a minimalist architectural photographer with a desire to discover spatial tensions and atmospheric nuances, allowing me to see beauty in unexpected places. My works are not only representations or reproductions of the architectural or spatial subjects, but distinct works of constructed space, each of which offers its own particular atmosphere and experience. I strive to capture something significant about the architect’s energy. “I desire not to be a conventional architectural photographer,” rather, explore to interpret architecture than just capture images of buildings. My understanding of light and shadow, often captured in black and white, creates images of depth and fascination that transcend the objects they represent and become objects in their own right. The sensitivity of my images suggest that my concerns reside beyond formal composition and are directed towards a deeper understanding of the specific nature of my architectural subjects. It has always been my focus to to create thought provoking images which reveal the light, space and form that unites and reduces architecture to its essence to make the corporeal experience complete.
